Power Search Help
Power Search allows you to apply mutliple criteria to a single search.

For example, to search for all DVD titles that are:
  • between the price range of $10.00 - $50.00, AND
  • at least 40% off the MSRP, AND
  • considered "Comedy" or "Action / Adventure" genres
    		•
    Do the following:
  • Fill in the Price criteria with $10.00 and $50.00, respectively.
  • Fill in the MSRP criteria with 40.
  • Select genres of "Comedy" and "Action / Adventure"
  • Click on "Search"

    The resulting search results will contain all DVD titles that satisfy all 3 criteria above.
    Note: your shipping destination can effect the search results. (See Search Tips for more information)

    Usage
    Every field that is filled in or selected acts as an additional criteria on the search. All items that are not filled in or have nothing selected have no effect on the search. If multiple items within a single select box are selected, they are applied as "or" conditions. For instance, in the example above, titles of either "Comedy" OR "Action / Adventure" satisfied the genre criteria.
    Using the "Exclude" Option
    Some of the criteria, such as, rating, genre, and studio, have an "exclude" option. Selecting this option means that the search results should not include any titles satisfying the excluded items. For instance, in the example above, if we changed the genre criteria to be "exclude" instead of the default "include", the results returned would contain DVD titles potentially, of all genres except for "Comedy" and "Action / Adventure".
    The Search Criteria
  • Title Keywords (see the regular Search Tips for more information)

  • Price (see the regular Search Tips for more information)

  • MSRP (see the regular Search Tips for more information)

  • Year - This represents the year the movie title was released to theatres. Specify either a range of years or just a lower or upper bound. Using a lower bound will return everything that was released on or after the given year. Using an upper bound will return everything that was released on or before the given year.

  • Store - Select one to limit your search to a particular store.

  • Sound - These are the sound formats that are available on DVDs.

  • Screen Format - These are the screen formats that are available on DVDs.

  • Rating - These are the MPAA ratings.

  • Genre - These are the general categories of movie plots.

  • Studio - These are the studios that produce the DVDs.
